THE HOTEL

The Peacock at Barlow, is a gorgeous hotel that has eight boutique bedrooms attached to their modern and stylish pub. The rooms are airy, bright and modern, some of which have incredible views of The Peak District from your bedroom & bathroom window! The rooms are fully equipped with everything you need; including a high-end coffee maker and fresh milk in the mini fridge. The design is sleek and modern, with vintage country feels with the designs of the bedding and artwork around the room. We stayed in the Phoenix Room, and first impressions were really good! The highlight of this room for me is definitely the bathtub by the window, which you’ll see many photos of below. When visiting The Peak District, taking long nature walks is a MUST – no matter the weather! After all the exploring, there is honestly nothing better than checking into your hotel, and running a hot bubbly bath to relax in. Especially when the view is as good as it is here!

THE PUB & BREAKFAST

The Peacock pub is very popular and for good reason! As you first walk in, there is a real country pub feel, and as you wander down the restaurant you’ll see bright and airy area – which I LOVE because the view is just beautiful! I love the style of this pub, it’s quirky, vintage and modern all in one and it just goes really well together!

Why not grab a drink at the bar and browse through the menu, I can personally recommend the Sunday lunch and the fish pie – both delicious!! Staff are really friendly, and no matter how demanding customers and orders are; they still served with a huge smile on their faces and went the extra mile to check up on customers and have a quick chat – which you don’t see often! If you stay at the hotel, you can really look forward to the breakfast in the morning – its delicious! There is a lovely variety on the menu, including veggie options too. As it is quieter at this time of day, you’re more likely to bag yourself a table by the window with those gorgeous views!

Head to their website a book a room!
